I have used both the web interface turn-off switch AND I have tried the display- properties-effects switch (now set to "standard"). Turning it off makes an effect in some

And so far I've not found a way of turning off whole pixel aliasing in our Reader either. Am I right? Actually Microsoft developed ClearType specifically for tiny LCD screens such as Pocket PCs, but it appears that Adobe has decided to rather offer CoolType for large monitors where it isn't really needed.

I don't want to turn Clear Type on or off from within Reader. But prior to upgrading to 2.0 I was able to configure Clear Type from within reader to select the text that looked best on No version of Reader on the Pocket PC allows you to turn off ClearType. ClearType options are only available in the PC version.
